Director of Candidate Services

John Annable

As our Director of Candidate Services, John manages the global exam registration and scheduling efforts, focusing on getting candidates into and through the program as efficiently as possible. He is also the chief liaison to our testing provider, Pearson VUE, and oversees CAIA exam delivery throughout their worldwide network of testing centers.

John joined CAIA in 2004, after six years at Merrill Lynch Corporate Headquarters in Strategic Planning and Business Technology Services. Prior to that, he worked extensively in events production and management at both commercial and academic/nonprofit organizations.

He also has experience as a film editor and promotional consultant for a New York-based production company and is an ardent film enthusiast.

Candidate Services Assistant, Editorial Assistant

Janis Merrell

As Candidate Services Assistant, Janis is the first point of contact for candidates and visitors to our website. She guides candidates through registration and scheduling and supports the Director of Candidate Services. As Editorial Assistant, Janis copyedits and proofreads for several departments in the organization.

Janis joined CAIA in 2009. Previously, she worked for eight years as a manager for an independent bookseller. She also has experience in the education assessment industry. Janis is a cum laude graduate of the University of Massachusetts-Amherst with a B.A. in both English and Journalism.
