Lisa Rivera

Lisa works with the Director of Member Services and the Executive Director to coordinate events including presentations, outreach, and speaker events to promote CAIA's educational program. She brings several years of project management experience to her role.

Lisa moved to the Pioneer Valley to attend Smith College where she graduated with a degree in Anthropology as well as a keen interest in marine ecology and applied economics.  She divides her time between Vermont and Massachusetts.

Director of Industry Relations – Americas

Christopher Holt, MBA, CAIA

Chris joined the CAIA Association after the acquisition of AllAboutAlpha.com, an alternative investment research, analysis and opinion website he founded in 2006. As managing editor of AllAboutAlpha.com, Chris is a frequent speaker at industry events around the world and has written over 1,000 articles on the hedge fund industry. Prior to this, Chris was the director of business development for a leading Canadian hedge fund manager.

Before entering the alternative investment industry in 2002, Chris was a management consultant with several firms including Ernst & Young. During this time, he served North American clients in the financial services and telecommunications industries. Separately, Chris was also a consultant to the Geneva-based World Economic Forum for 10 years.

He holds an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Canada’s Queen’s University. He was awarded the CAIA designation in 2005.

As head of industry relations in the Americas, Chris meets regularly with members, regulatory bodies, trade associations and financial institutions. In addition, he continues to chair or moderate at global alternative investment conferences and remains managing editor and a lead writer for AllAboutAlpha.com.


Steve Wallace

Director of Industry Relations – EMEA

Steve Wallace, MSI, CAIA

Steve Wallace joined the CAIA Association in June 2008 and is based in England. Steve is responsible for building awareness of the CAIA designation and program to potential CAIA members in all financial sectors throughout the EMEA region. The importance of alternative investment education and the professionalism of the organization are the factors that drew Steve to the CAIA Association. He earned his CAIA designation in 2007 and was instrumental in helping to build the highly successful CAIA London chapter.

Prior to joining the CAIA Association, Steve managed client relations for several UK firms, most recently with an emerging market equity hedge fund as well as ING Wholesale Banking and Societé Generale Corporate Investment Bank. In addition, Steve spent seven years working in the Private Wealth Management sector in Australia, primarily in investment strategy for high net worth individuals at firms, including the Private Bank division of National Australia Bank and AXA Australia.

Steve graduated from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, Australia, with a Bachelor of Business in Financial Planning and has also completed the Certificate of Investment Management. He is also currently a member of the Securities and Investments Institute (SII). In his spare time Steve takes the opportunity to brush up on his fencing and is a member of the British Fencing Association.


Heather Kane

Heather Kane

In Heather's role as Industry Relations Coordinator, she supports the strategic objective of increasing awareness of the CAIA program and designation. Her primary projects include the development, organization and maintenance of an industry relations resource center, assisting in the ongoing development of the CAIA client relationship management system, and providing key administrative support to the Marketing & Outreach team.

Prior to her role at the CAIA Association, Heather worked in the nonprofit sector in various organizational and coordinator roles. She is happily rejoining CAIA after a brief stint away to pursue personal goals.

She received her bachelors degree from Wheaton College (Massachusetts) with a double major in International Relations and French Literature. In her spare time, you will find her spending time with her family, sewing, or enjoying New England's fine outdoors.

Industry Relations Coordinator

Jeff Blevins

As an Industry Relations Coordinator, Jeff promotes the CAIA designation through various outreach initiatives. His main responsibility is to provide administrative support to the Industry Relations and Outreach team. He also serves as an editor for AllAboutAlpha, CAIA's alternative investments blog.

Before coming to the CAIA Association, Jeff worked primarily on social networking and web marketing strategies in the for-profit sector. He received his bachelor's degree from Amherst College, double majoring in English and Russian. In his spare time he enjoys reading, kayaking, and seeing live music.


Sue Lynn

Asia Regional Coordinator

Sue Lynn Oliveiro

Sue Lynn is the Asia Regional Coordinator for the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Association. She supports the Director of Marketing and Outreach and the Director of Member Services as the point of contact in Asia for CAIA matters. Sue Lynn graduated with a degree in Arts and Social Sciences from the National University of Singapore where she majored in Economics and English Language. She started her career with Morgan Stanley in an operational support role after which she spent the next 5 years in business development in the automotive manufacturing and IT industries in Singapore.

Sue Lynn enjoys meeting people and is fluent in both English and Mandarin and conversant in Malay.
