Director of Member Services

Maia Porter

Maia Porter joined the CAIA Association in 2006. Responsible for all aspects of the membership experience, she oversees the registration process, provides support for CAIA's existing global chapters, and works with members worldwide to establish new chapters. Maia works closely with her colleagues to strengthen and increase member benefits, with an emphasis on creating enhanced professional networking and continuing education opportunities.

A graduate of Smith College, where she earned a combined degree in Anthropology and Art, her professional background is in arts and academic administration. Prior to joining the CAIA Association, she owned a contemporary art and furniture gallery near Boston, was managing director of a major American craft gallery, and served on the staff of Harvard College. In her spare time she enjoys restoring her circa 1840 farmhouse and exploring the old New England villages that surround Amherst.


Katherina Abe

Member Services Assistant

Katherine Abe

In her role as a Member Services Assistant, Katherine works with her colleagues to improve and enhance member benefits. She enjoys hearing from the members, and welcomes questions and suggestions.

Katherine's previous employment history includes survey research data collection, ESL instruction, working with chronically mentally-ill adults, and helping undergraduates understand the fundamentals of research.

Katherine studied Dostoyevsky in college, and researched the psychological implications of guilt and shame in graduate school. Katherine is fluent in Japanese.


Nadya Tkachenko

Member Services Assistant, Chapter Liaison

Nadya Tkachenko

Nadya Tkachenko joined the CAIA Association in October 2008, moving from London, UK. As Chapter Liaison, Nadya acts as the chief point of contact for the global chapter leadership, facilitates chapter events and related activities, and, together with the Director of Member Services, works with CAIA members to form new chapters around the globe.

Nadya's previous experience includes working in UNESCO Culture Sector in Kazakhstan, coordinating educational exchange programs at the American Forum for Global Education in New York City, as well as translating and interpreting for USAID Capital Markets projects in Kazakhstan.

A graduate of Middlebury College with a BA in International Relations, Nadya also holds an MA with distinction in Social Anthropology from the School of Oriental and African Studies in London, UK.

Nadya devotes most of her spare time to her two toddlers, and enjoys doing yoga.  She is fluent in Russian and conversant in Mandarin.


Sue Lynn Oliveiro

Asia Regional Coordinator

Sue Lynn Oliveiro

Sue Lynn is the Asia Regional Coordinator for the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Association. She supports the Director of Marketing and Outreach and the Director of Member Services as the point of contact in Asia for CAIA matters. Sue Lynn graduated with a degree in Arts and Social Sciences from the National University of Singapore where she majored in Economics and English Language. She started her career with Morgan Stanley in an operational support role after which she spent the next 5 years in business development in the automotive manufacturing and IT industries in Singapore.

Sue Lynn enjoys meeting people and is fluent in both English and Mandarin and conversant in Malay.
