Here Here for the Bier Markt

Last Thursday the CAIA Canada chapter hosted about 50 members, candidates and guests in Toronto's trendy "esplanade”. Kudos to Toronto-based chapter exec James Burron for putting it all together (and for providing some of the best food I’ve had at a CAIA gathering).

I particularly enjoyed meeting several attendees who are writing the CAIA exams while pursuing the CFA or other designations. While that sounds like a big commitment to me, it was inspiring to talk to these ambitious candidates with the educational dedication (and chops!) to take on that kind of challenge.

Key message from those multi-exam writers: don't put off your education, because these programs won’t get any easier tomorrow than they are today.
