UpperMark Test Bank software - pros and cons

I wanted to share my thoughts about the UpperMark Test Bank software for anyone considering purchasing it.

It was very handy to get a battery of test questions not packaged with study notes, as I make my own notes and have my own study strategy. I just needed test questions for my final "push". The software is well-organized and has some analysis features so you can continue to work on your weak spots. The customer service is also very courteous.

HOWEVER, their questions have a lot of typographical and sometimes grammatical errors than I can't believe would exist in a product of this nature. I actually emailed UpperMark with a screen shot of 21 questions randomly drawn in which there were 6 total errors, two of which were factual in nature.

Customer service told me this sort of thing is very unusual in their product, but I have found a consistent incorrect use of "Codes and Standards" to refer to the CFA Code and Standards, words run together without a space, questions that use wording that asks a different question than what was intended, and sometimes responses that don't match the question itself.

UpperMark will of course promptly fix anything you bring to their attention. But I feel that a product you have to pay money for should be without so many errors.

Thanks for your views, it

Thanks for your views, it will be helpful to keep your experience in mind - as I start to work thru the same.

Improvements

They are making improvements as they find out about them, so perhaps by next year everything will be fully reviewed. Stay tuned.
