CAIA San Francisco Social is a Hit!

Hi everyone, San Francisco hosted a social event last night a the Press Club. It was a great turn-out. We had over 50 people show and there were a lot of new faces. We were happily surprised by cameos from a CAIA Paris member and Jerry Harris.

The Press Club was a terrific venue - most people commented it was an event favorite. It was suggested that next time, we get up a give a quick speech for the new-comers as well as maybe host a more formal wine-tasting event with a sommelier. They were great suggestions and we’re taking them to heart for the next networking event. We’re trying to do networking events every other month. Our small group has grown rapidly over past year (50 people showed for the networking event) and we’d love to hear from other chapters on ways to effectively host networking events with a larger group.

Thanks all for a great event!

Great to meet you.

I had a great time at the networking event and thought the ambiance of the venue was appropriate, however with the growing number of candidates and members I would suggest a bigger place for future events. Another suggestion is having name tags that also show the employer name. If you want to network, I highly suggest going to this type of event. I look forward to the next one!

Thank you

I am a CAIA Level I Candidate and attended this event to learn more about the CAIA and meet other candidates and members. I was very impressed with the way the event was organized and thought that the venue itself was perfect for the occasion.

I also had the pleasure of meeting Jerry Harris, one of the senior graders of Level II, who shared some of his knowledge and experience with me.

Overall, I'm very pleased with CAIA and looking forward to becoming a member. See you at future events!

Thanks,
Patty
