INTRODUCTION
The IEB (Instituto de Estudios Bursátiles) is a non-profit association founded in 1989. It is an official institution, affiliated to the Complutense University and sponsored by the Madrid Stock Exchange.
It is a pioneer centre in Spain in teaching Financial Economics and an official provider for many international designations, such as FRM, CFA and CAIA.
DESCRIPTION
The "Programa Directivo en Inversiones Alternativas", or Senior Management Program in Global Alternative Investments (SMP) covers all the contents of the CAIA Program, through its broad-based curriculum in alternative investments. The main target is to provide comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge on alternative investments and to prepare attendees to pass the exams needed to earn the CAIA Charter, the current educational standard for the alternative investment industry. So both CAIA Level I and Level II contents are deeply covered through a combination of theoretical and practical Q&A sessions in order to facilitate Program attendees to successfully achieve the previously mentioned aim.
DURATION
256 hours of education, scheduled on Fridays (6pm – 10pm) and Saturdays (9am – 2pm) from the month of October until June next year. This comprehensive educational effort is designed to ideally allow attendees to prepare for the Level I exam scheduled by CAIAA in March, and to continue with the preparation for the CAIA Level II exam that takes place in the month of September immediately thereafter (all in the same year).
Attendees are invited to connect to IEB’s 24 hour "platform training system" for a Q&A. This online space will also serve as a support platform in terms of information, key announcements, tips or general recommendations for the CAIA exams.
