First, determine your preparedness for the CAIA program by evaluating your prerequisite knowledge, and determine whether CAIA exams are offered in your area.

Next, complete the three-step exam registration process.

1. Complete the online exam registration form.
2. Sign the Candidate Agreement.
3. Purchase an exam (see Fee Information details).

Then, schedule an exam appointment once scheduling becomes available through our global testing provider, PearsonVUE. See Program FAQs for more information.

Meanwhile, prepare for the exam by downloading your level-specific Study Guide, purchasing the Curriculum Readings, and studying on your own and/or with a study group or a preparatory program.

Finally, take the exam at a designated, secure, computerized testing center.

After the exam, results are distributed within 30 days. Sign up for the next exam or become a member and gain access to all member benefits.
