AMHERST, MASS, March 31, 2009—The Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Association® (CAIA), today announced it has opened registration for the September 2009 CAIA Level I and Level II examinations..
The September 2009 curriculum incorporates several new areas of industry innovation, particularly on such topics as climate change and risk management. New content has been integrated for its topic relevance and currency.
"The alternative investment industry is constantly evolving in response to changes in the economic, financial and regulatory environments. Because of the dynamic nature of our field, the CAIA Association continually reexamines its curriculum to ensure our program is current and relevant," said Hossein Kazemi, managing director of the CAIA program. "The updates we've integrated into the September 2009 curriculum were designed to reflect the growing concern about risk, risk management and the investment opportunities that may arise in response to global actions to address climate change."

Since its inception in 2002, more than 10,000 individuals have enrolled in the CAIA program, the only professional financial designation for the alternatives industry.
