Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Association (CAIAA) to Host Networking and Informational Events in Australia and Canada, Sept. 26 & 27

AMHERST, MASS, September 5, 2007 - The Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Association® (CAIAA)-an independent, not-for-profit international organization that provides a charter program for professionals in alternative investments-will host informational seminars in Toronto and Montreal, Canada, and Sydney, Australia, on September 26-27.

The event in Toronto will run from 7:00-8:30 a.m. on September 26 at The National Club, 303 Bay Street, Toronto, Ontario, M5H2R1. It will be followed by an event the next evening in Montreal at the Mount Royal Club, 1175 Rue Sherbrooke Ouest, Montreal, Quebec, to be held from 5:30-7:00 p.m.

The event in Sydney, co-hosted by AIMA Australia, will run from 12:30-2:00 p.m. on September 25 at Citi-Prime Finance, Level 40, 2 Park Street, Sydney.

CAIAA's executive director, Craig Asche, will make a short presentation at the event in Sydney while Kathryn Wilkens, CAIAA's director of curriculum, will present at the Canadian events. Asche and Wilkens will discuss the CAIA designation, why it has become the fastest-growing designation in the world, details on the curriculum, its importance to alternative investments and the organization's growth and reach. They will also take questions from attendees. Attendees may use the opportunity to network with similar professionals from their areas.

"There has been a marked increase in the number of candidates interested in the CAIA program over the last 18 months," Asche said. "Many alternative investment professionals are finding that the increased correlation between different investment strategies and geographies require them to have a broader base of knowledge than in the past. And while many people in the world's financial capitals are growing more familiar with this need, we are committed to increasing our program's reach to more markets such as Australia, Canada, and nations in Southeast Asia and South America."

The Canadian and Australian informational events are part of 15 total events that have or will occur in 2007. The Association hosted similar events in San Francisco, Chicago, Geneva and Frankfurt earlier this year, and will host several more throughout Europe and North America before the end of the year.

More than 150 attendees have already confirmed attendance to the Canadian and Australian events, including individuals planning to take the exams, executives seeking to learn more about the CAIA designation on behalf of their companies, financial advisors and planners and other members of the public interested in learning more about AI education.
