Since its launch last year, the CAIA Association has grown by leaps and bounds, reaching a number of important milestones along the way.

  • To date, over 1000 registrants have signed up to take the CAIA exams, representing over 300 financial institutions.
  • Several financial institutions are now encouraging their alternative investment specialists to sit for the CAIA, notably Citigroup, Government of Singapore Investment Corporation (GIC), Morgan Stanley, Pacific Alternative Asset Management Company (PAAMCO), Tremont and UBS, among others.
  • Edhec Graduate School joined the list of CAIA course providers, offering classes for CAIA candidates in over 11 European countries.
  • Jane Buchan, Managing Director of Pacific Alternative Asset Management Company (PAAMCO), recently joined the Advisory Board of the CAIA Association.
  • Mark Anson, CAIA, Chief Investment Officer of California Public Employees' Retirement System (CalPERS), joined the Curriculum and Examination Committee of the Association.

Finally, and perhaps most significantly, CAIA membership more than doubled following the second offering of the CAIA Level II exam in February.

The Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Association is delighted to offer its congratulations to the most recent addition of CAIA Charterholders. CAIA charters were awarded to the following individuals who passed their Level II examination in February 2004.
