HONG KONG, November 5, 2009—The Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Association (CAIA), an independent, not-for-profit international organization that provides the global CAIA professional credential for alternative investment practitioners, today announced the launch of the CAIA Hong Kong, its 10th global chapter.
"Hong Kong, one of the world’s premier financial centres, is home to a very active, engaged and growing segment of our global membership," said Craig Asche, executive director of the CAIA Association. "Over the past 3 years, the Hong Kong membership has increased dramatically and through their initiative has developed a dynamic local network, highlighted by several exceptionally well-orchestrated and oversubscribed educational and social events. It is therefore with great pleasure and pride that we welcome Hong Kong into our growing family of international chapters."
The CAIA Association has over 3200 members worldwide and 142 in Hong Kong - making Hong Kong one of the fastest growing CAIA communities in the Asia region.
The launch will be celebrated with the Hong Kong CAIA chapter’s first official event, a panel discussion entitled "The Alternative Investment Industry in 2010: A Global Perspective".
