, CAIA, has joined Hatteras Funds as Southwest Regional Director, focusing on business development and client relations, while serving financial professionals in the brokerage, RIA, and consulting communities. He joins the firm with a broad understanding of alternative investments and 14 years of investment experience.

A member of the CAIA Class of September 2007, Michael writes, "The CAIA Association has developed curriculum and a designation that has defined the greatest commitment a financial professional can display in the field of alternative investments. Most importantly, the investment firms and consulting teams that I serve share this opinion and together we can have a greater impact through the benefits of our CAIA membership."

Prior to joining Hatteras Funds, Michael was a consultant for 1st Global, a Registered Investment Advisor with $4 billion in assets under management, where he led business development efforts for structured products and alternative investments. As part of his role, he constructed multi-dimensional portfolios for high net worth investors and participated in investment due diligence visits to both Europe and India to research private equity strategies. In addition, Michael held various positions as a Financial Advisor, Investment Specialist and Senior Planning Analyst.

Michael currently serves as the President of the North Texas Investment Management Consultants Association Chapter.
