Marko Schaffrick is the CEO of True Arrow Capital Management Hong Kong, leading its regional business since 2019. He previously held portfolio management roles at Russell Investments in China and the UK. He co-founded Russell Investments’ China joint venture Ping An Russell Investment Management (‘PAR’) in 2011, and later its WFOE, Russell Investment Advisors, managing a $2B range of multi-strategy, multi-asset funds as head of portfolio management and portfolio manager. While at PAR, he launched and managed China’s first multi-manager fund and helped grow the firm into one of the largest private fund management companies. Prior to 2011 he was a portfolio manager at Russell Investments’ London office, where in 2008 he co-founded, designed, setup and managed an alternatives & traditional strategies platform. He spearheaded the firm’s strategic China endeavours, including its China A share manager research and QFII undertaking. He joined Russell Investments UK in 2006 as a member of the US equity portfolio management team managing $6B in AUM. Before that he set up and managed Thomson Financial’s EMEA oil, gas and energy desk in London. He started his career on the buy-side covering global equities for Saturna Capital in the US. Marko holds a B.A. in Finance from Western Washington University. An inaugural ExCo member of the China chapter, he holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA®) designations.
