Ravi is a Mechanical Engineer from IIT Madras and he has over 20 years of experience in Banking, Finance and Insurance sectors.
He is currently the COO at InfraHedge Ltd (UK) – A subsidiary company of State Street Corporation. State Street Corporation is the world largest custodial bank. Ravi is a founder member of InfraHedge, ranked as the largest managed accounts platform infrastructure services provider for global institutional investors.
Prior to this he was the Chief Risk Officer and the Compliance Officer of Butterfield Fulcrum – one of the large global fund administration company. In this role, reporting into the Group Audit Committee of the Board, Ravi set up the compliance organization and was managing the Internal Audit and Enterprise Risk Management functions of the group.
Ravi started his career with SBI Capital Markets, Mumbai after his MBA from IIM(C) and then went on to set up Centurion Bank in collaboration with IFC Washington. Centurion Bank was amongst the first private sector Banks in India to be licensed in the post liberalisation era. Ravi also worked with ALLIANZ AG in setting up an Industrial Risk Management in India and was a part of the core team set up to prepare business plans for Allianz AG's life and non life insurance JV's in India. Ravi was also the Head of Risk Management function at Infosys BPO and the COO of Oracle (OFSS) BPO managing its delivery centres across Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi.
Ravi is a keen academician and has been the visiting faculty at Sydenham College (Mumbai) and Bankers Training College of the RBI (Mumbai), Central Bank of India Staff Training Institute etc. He is a member of the Board of studies for the commerce faculty at the Christ University and he is also a member of the advisory board for India of the Chartered Securities and Investments Institute UK, a member of the Executive Committee of the India Chapter of the Chartered Alternate Investments Association (CAIA) – USA.
Ravi has been an active member of the Diversity and Inclusion Core Team of NASSCOM since inception and he is a Fellow of the Indian Institute of Insurance and a Certified Information Systems Auditor.
He is a regular speaker in the areas of risk management and assurance in India, UK and Srilanka. Ravi is an avid runner and has run several marathons and has successfully coached his son to take up long-distance running!
