Satoko Hoshino is a an analyst/consultant at Japan Shareholder Services, where she advises listed Japanese corporations on corporate/shareholder value, corporate governance and sustainability issues in the context of investor and shareholder relations: Shareholder identification/analysis, investor targeting, perception studies, proxy voting analysis/simulations (eg proxy fights), assistance with shareholder engagement/shareholder roadshows and with activist investors.

Previously, Satoko advised investment management firms on regulation and risk at the Risk Advisory Division of Deloitte Japan from 2017 to 2018. She was a global institutional business development manager at Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking from 2006 to 2017, and a fund manager/analyst at UFJ Trust Bank from 1997 to 2005.

In addition to the CAIA designation, Satoko holds the Financial Risk Manager (FRM) and Chartered Member of the Securities Analysts Association of Japan qualifications.

Satoko holds a BA in Economics from the University of Tokyo, and a MSc in Finance from Georgetown University.
