With over 15 years’ experience in financial markets, Vik has played key roles in several organizations ranging from providing operational due diligence in the alternative investment sector, consulting for the one of the "big 4" professional services firm to leading the research department of a large industry association in Canada. He consults in the area of investment research and asset management and is a Professor of Finance at the Pilon School of Business at Sheridan College.
In addition to an MBA in Finance and a MA in Economics, he holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation. He is currently a PHD Candidate in Finance at Griffith University in Australia. His research is centred on stock market linkages and volatility post 2008 financial crisis and has presented his research at several conferences such as the Econometric Society Australasia Meeting and the Canadian Economics Association.
