He began his career with Deutsche Bank as an investment banking analyst and subsequently worked with Bank of America Merrill Lynch in their investment banking team. Later, he worked with boutique investment banking teams and a multi-family office to raise growth capital for small and medium enterprises while also focusing on emerging technology start-ups for the multi-family office clients. In his previous role at the long-only India focused investment fund, he was the head of Business Development and Investor Relations where he raised majority of the institutional capital from global investors including US, Australia, and Middle East. He also focused on generating mid-cap stock selection ideas and invested capital in high conviction ideas generating a significant outperformance in those ideas. Such was the outperformance that some of these names delivered 70%+ returns in CY2018 while the Indian midcap broader indices corrected sharply by 25%. Earlier this year, he founded Summa Alternatives to focus on the rapidly growing opportunity of raising institutional capital for alternative investment fund managers.
