Communications & Marketing Associate – APAC

Events & Marketing Responsibilities

  • Execute on elements of conference partnership engagement, marketing initiatives, media exchanges and other CAIA Association marketing and program events
    • Handle logistical planning of events with vendors from inception through to completion
  • Coordinate marketing collateral and gift premiums including managing budget, purchasing requests, and obtaining necessary approvals as required (working in concert with CAIA HQ)
  • Compile and report on the Asia Pacific conference and events calendar, events tracking report, and accompanying analytics
    • Run reports and prepare data / analysis as needed
  • Coordinate with HQ Marketing team to manage the creation and inventory of events materials, and marketing collateral used at events and for distribution in Asia Pacific
  • Use Informz platform, create event invitations for webcasts and in-person events
  • Develop and maintain relationships with the event organizers and partners for events coordination in Asia Pacific

Social Media

  • Coordinate with CAIA’s Asia Pacific Team to assemble regional social media input for CAIA HQ to utilize and publish
  • In coordination with CAIA HQ responsible for APAC social media scheduling, content assembly, collage preparing for hands on Asia Pacific pre and post events postings to APAC Events Showcase page on LinkedIn

Administrative & General Support

  • Provide assistance with ad-hoc administrative tasks and communications as needed
  • As part of a small team, answers telephones directing callers to appropriate associate and greeting and directing visitors when necessary
  • Participate in biannual CAIA Candidate call campaign and information assembly when needed
  • Manage APAC email inboxes, direct enquiries to the relevant colleague, and update tracking document
  • Manage APAC Gateway Scholarship tracking document
  • Manage APAC Events Board

Qualifications: 

• Maintains a high attention to detail, well organised, resourceful, strong initiative and ability to multi-task
• Has an affinity for developing quality control processes
• Strong communications skills
• Shows initiative
• Thrives in a team environment
• Tech Savvy (proficient with Microsoft Office, Internet, Social Media (optional, design programs))
• Language Skills : a) native English speaker strongly preferred and b) Mandarin
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Previous experience working in events management desired (direct conference experience a plus)
