Director of Content, APAC

Purpose and Scope

The Director of Content, APAC is responsible for developing and distributing content throughout the region to raise awareness and credibility for CAIA.  The role will also be responsible for executing strategy to establish and expand CAIA’s industry recognition, regulatory relationships, candidate participation and membership activity throughout Asia. The individual must work in close coordination with the HK office to ensure a cohesive regional execution and the global content team to ensure consistency of message and voice.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Senior Managing Director, the Director of Content, APAC is responsible for:

Content Ambassadorship – 40%

  • Conduct and synthesize initial and on-going market research
  • Serve as key participant in global Editorial Board in influencing content priorities of/for Asia
  • Author blogs, webinars, and bylines periodically
  • Represent CAIA at key industry conferences through speeches, panel moderation
  • Syndicate and distribute CAIA content through digital, P2P, and public platforms
  • Support the CAIA curriculum through providing intelligence and feedback on topical priorities to be covered in program.  Identify authors, standard setters, editors, reviewers to assist the curriculum and exams team to ensure global representation

Marketing and Media – 20%

  • Coordinate with the MD, Industry Relations APAC and the Director, Marketing to support the regionally focused marketing efforts
  • Establish relationships with regional media outlets and public relations firms.  Serve as a key public ambassador for our PR efforts in Asia

Industry Relations and Outreach – 30%

  • Identify and build relationships with key investors and managers
  • Coordinate with the MD Industry Relations, APAC to develop and execute regional strategy
  • Raise CAIA profile with all constituencies including regulatory, academic, commercial/institutional, industry association, and media/press
  • Establish relationships with and give public and private presentations to industry associations and institutions, and participate in conferences and events on behalf of the CAIA Association

Member/Candidate Services – 10%

  • Partner with Chapter Heads to expand impact of events, networking, and brand recognition.  Contribute to identifying current and future leaders within Chapter
  • Coordinate with HK office and Director of Candidate and Member Relations to support/enhance all member-related activities
  • Coordinate with HK office and Director of Candidate and Member Services to support the development of regional preparatory course providers and facilitate regional exam registration and delivery
  • Be accessible to Candidates and prospects via attendance at CAIA and industry events, to promote program and to handle or relay Candidate concerns to CAIA headquarters

 

Qualifications: 

• Strong understanding of Asian investment industry markets, institutions and regulatory environment
• Demonstrated minimum 10 years’ experience working in the Asian alternative investment industry
• Private Equity, Real Asset expertise a plus
• Ideal candidate has achieved (or commits to achieve) the CAIA designation
• Willing and eager to travel extensively throughout region
• Entrepreneurial instincts and drive
• Position will be based in Singapore
