What exactly is covered?

Level I:  Completely revised and updated for the 2022 exam cycles, the new digital or digital + print format assesses your understanding of various alternative asset classes and your knowledge of the tools and techniques used to evaluate the risk-return attributes of each one.  

Level II: Assesses how you would apply the knowledge and analytics learned in Level I within a portfolio management context. Both exams include segments on ethics and professional conduct.

Dates, Fees & Resources

From a curriculum written by industry experts, informed by practitioners, to a study calculator to help you manage your time, you’ll find everything you need on our Preparing for the CAIA Charter Exam page. Each exam is administered in March and September. A minimum of 200 study hours is recommended:

Annual Membership Dues US $350; US $650/2-years
