Get Ahead of Where Finance Is Going
Right now, you have something many professionals wish they had earlier: the opportunity to build specialized knowledge before your career begins.
Alternative investments are playing a growing role in how portfolios are built, but they may not be fully covered in a traditional finance curriculum. Through your university’s partnership with CAIA, you can explore this fast-moving part of the industry, connect your studies to real-world investing, and begin working toward the CAIA Charter, the globally recognized credential for alternative investment professionals.
Your Student Advantage
Knowledge that goes beyond the syllabus
Explore private equity, private credit, real assets, hedge funds, and the wider world of investing that may not be covered in your coursework.
A stronger career story
Bring more context to interviews, applications, classroom conversations, and networking. You will be able to speak about where capital is moving and how modern portfolios are evolving.
A serious head start
Begin the CAIA Charter Program before graduation and show future employers that you are already looking beyond the traditional finance curriculum.
A clearer view of what comes next
Discover new roles, sectors, and career paths before you have to decide exactly where you fit.
A community already in the industry
Connect with CAIA Members, regional Chapters, events, and professionals who can help you better understand the paths available to you.
A scholarship with real value
Eligible students can register for the CAIA exam for US$350, compared with the standard US$1,795 total registration fee.
Scholarship Timing

Student Scholarship Guidelines
- Students must be nominated by the designated CAIA faculty contact at an approved Academic Partner institution and be enrolled at the time of nomination.
- Scholarships are awarded at CAIA Association’s sole discretion, and all decisions are final.
- Students may receive scholarships for multiple exam levels but may use only one scholarship at a time. Each scholarship must be used before applying for another.
- Scholarships must be awarded before the student registers for the exam and cannot be combined with other discounts.
Award Process: The designated faculty contact sends the nominated student a link to the online application. Once the application is reviewed and approved by the Academic Partners Scholarship Team, CAIA will contact the student with instructions for registering at the discounted rate.
Scholarship or not, we’re committed to supporting your path. Students not awarded a scholarship receive a 10% discount on exam registration. Use AcademicPartner10 at time of registration.
