CAIA Chapter – Netherlands

Welcome to CAIA Netherlands Chapter

The Netherlands is home to one of the largest and most sophisticated pension systems in the world and has a well-developed insurance and banking sector. The Dutch insurance and pension sector is the third largest in the Eurozone with more than 1200 billion euros in pension and insurance assets. There is significant investment potential for alternative investments as investors in The Netherlands are still under-allocated to alternative strategies. Most financial institutions are headquartered in Amsterdam making the city an important center for the European financial industry. CAIA Netherlands firmly believes that alternative investments will become increasingly important in investors’ portfolios.

CAIA Netherlands aims to increase knowledge of alternative investments and promote awareness of CAIA, its program and designation through educational and networking events. We want to enable our Members and interested investment professionals to gain a better understanding of the various alternative investment strategies such as hedge funds, private equity, real estate, commodities and structured investments and inform them about the latest trends in the alternative investment industry. We also facilitate networking and career development activities for our Members and Candidate Members. CAIA Netherlands seeks to cooperate with other investment professionals organizations such as CFA to achieve its objectives. We look forward to welcoming new Members as well as volunteers who are interested in helping organize events. CAIA Members residing in The Netherlands comprise the Membership of the Chapter.
