Member Spotlight

June 2026

My journey toward achieving the CAIA designation began in 2002, when I started my career in India and discovered my deep interest in finance and an enduring passion for learning. That curiosity led me to pursue the CFA program, and I earned my charter in 2009. By then, I had moved to Miami, where I had the opportunity to work with high-net-worth individuals and alongside large financial institutions, gaining firsthand exposure to how sophisticated investors think about capital allocation and risk management.

One of the greatest privileges of combining curiosity, knowledge, and opportunity in finance is the ability to recognize long-term trends early. This allowed me to identify and invest in the technological revolution of artificial intelligence more than a decade before it became a mainstream conversation. That experience reinforced my belief that continuous learning is essential.

In 2022, I decided to continue investing in my human capital by pursuing the Certified Financial Planner™ certification. This allowed me to refresh and deepen my understanding of holistic financial planning and better support my clients’ evolving needs. Soon after, I realized that I wanted to further expand my expertise in alternative investments so that I could offer clients a truly comprehensive investment spectrum. That realization led me to the CAIA designation.

Studying for CAIA was one of the most enjoyable and intellectually rewarding periods of my career. After more than 20 years in the industry, it was energizing to study geopolitics and emerging asset classes with a fresh perspective—grounded in experience, yet open to innovation. CAIA curriculum sharpened my understanding of alternatives and reinforced the importance of identifying structural disruptions early in their life cycles.

In 2025, I earned the trifecta of CFA, CFP®, and CAIA designations, equipping me with a comprehensive framework across public markets, private investments, and holistic financial planning. As I look ahead, I am excited about what lies next and hopeful that the next chapter of my career—guided by lifelong learning and disciplined curiosity—will be even more impactful than the first twenty years.
