Tristen Huupponen serves as a Senior Vice President within Capstone’s Client Solutions Team and is based in Sydney. Tristen joined the firm in 2025 to help manage investor relations across Australia & New Zealand and is part of the global business development efforts and marketing strategy for Capstone’s derivatives-based funds and offerings.
Prior to Capstone Tristen spent 9 years at AQR Capital Management as a Client Solutions Executive Director and 4 years at Mercer Investment Consulting, having begun his career in 2007 as a Mechanical Engineer.
Tristen is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA), and holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) and Bachelor of Commerce (Quantitative Finance) from the University of Western Australia.
