Uiyeon Lee, CAIA, is a Senior Manager at ABL Life Insurance. She reviews and monitors the firm’s global alternative portfolio, spanning private debt, infrastructure, private equity, and real estate funds.
Uiyeon has over 11 years of experience in real estate equity, debt, and fund-of-funds across Korea, Australia, the US, the UK, and Europe, and has worked on both the GP and LP side.
In 2019, as the sole member of the overseas real estate team at Hangang Asset Management, she independently ran a London office B-note debt fund from negotiation and due diligence through closing and fund management. At Meritz Securities and other Korean managers, she closed domestic and overseas deals, including project financings and fund sell-downs, through profitability analysis, due diligence, and support for investment committee reviews by institutional investors and contractors. More recently, she analyzed the assets and cash flows of a Melbourne office acquisition, secured investment committee approval for the deal, and took part in structuring real estate debt transactions.
She holds an M.A. in Global Proptech from Konkuk University and a B.A. in Economics from Yonsei University, and is a member of the Australian Property Institute. She earned the CAIA charter in 2024.
