August 2026

My CAIA journey began five years ago, when I decided to complement my practical experience in private markets with a globally recognized professional designation. Given CAIA’s strong reputation and specialized focus on alternative investments, pursuing the designation was a natural choice.

I passed Level I on my first attempt and, after a challenging but rewarding journey, successfully completed Level II in Spring 2026. The experience reinforced the importance of persistence, intellectual curiosity and staying open to new perspectives — qualities that I believe are particularly valuable in an industry that continues to evolve.

One of the aspects I have valued most about the CAIA curriculum is its breadth and relevance to the evolving investment landscape. Over the years, I have seen the curriculum expand to incorporate topics such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, blockchain and digital assets, reflecting CAIA’s commitment to innovation and keeping pace with developments across the industry.

I have also valued the lifelong learning opportunities available to Members. The growing range of educational resources and microcredentials demonstrates CAIA’s commitment to supporting professional development beyond the designation itself. Having completed the Digital Assets Microcredential, I found it highly relevant and very well structured, particularly suited to busy professionals who can benefit from concise material delivered in a self-paced format. This emphasis on continuous education is, in my view, one of the most valuable aspects of CAIA Membership, and I look forward to continuing to benefit from it.

Beyond the curriculum, becoming part of a global professional community has been an important part of my CAIA journey. Through the CAIA Luxembourg Chapter, I have had the opportunity to attend industry events, exchange perspectives with fellow professionals and stay connected to developments across the alternatives landscape.

For me, the CAIA journey has ultimately been about more than earning a designation. It has provided an opportunity to deepen my knowledge, challenge my thinking and become part of a global community of professionals with a shared interest in alternative investments.
