CAIA Expands Global Partnership Capabilities to Better Serve Firms and Institutions

AMHERST, MA. – October 29, 2026 – CAIA Association, the leading professional body for alternative investment education and credentialing, is strengthening its partnership capabilities in order to work more deeply with firms and institutions across the global profession. As part of that effort, CAIA has appointed Sarah Auerbach to a newly established leadership role focused on expanding the infrastructure and capabilities that support partnerships worldwide.

As private capital migrates into new markets and investment roles are becoming less siloed, firms are responding to increasingly complex talent, education, and professional-development needs. These shifts helped inform CAIA’s Vision 2035 strategy and have reinforced the need for a more connected approach to serve organizations as the level of required support extends beyond traditional, off-shelf programs.

Responding to these evolving requirements, CAIA is building greater capacity to listen to those organizations, understand their needs, and connect them more effectively with the Association’s education, expertise, and global community.

Auerbach joins the Association’s leadership team as Managing Director of Global Revenue Operations and Commercial Enablement to oversee the development of a more coordinated global approach to institutional partnerships. Her work will help CAIA build deeper, more responsive partnerships with firms while mobilizing the Association’s capabilities around their evolving needs.

“CAIA’s relationship with the industry has always extended beyond the credentials we offer,” said John Bowman, Chief Executive Officer, CAIA Association. “As the needs of firms and institutions become more complex, we have an opportunity to be an even more useful partner by listening closely, harnessing the right capabilities, and delivering solutions that can evolve alongside them. Sarah understands both what our partners need and what it takes internally to deliver against those needs. That combination makes her exceptionally well suited to lead this next phase, in partnership with our regional teams across the globe.”

Auerbach has been a leader at CAIA Association since 2015, most recently serving as Managing Director of Program Operations & Client Solutions. In that role, she provided strategic direction and operational leadership for CAIA’s charter, certificate, and professional education programs. She also initiated the development of solutions for institutional clients, oversaw key client relationships, and worked with executive leaders and external partners to advance CAIA’s mission.

Previously, Auerbach was instrumental in developing and launching CAIA’s online education platform, CAIA.nxt™, designed to help private wealth professionals navigate alternative investments. Before joining CAIA, she worked in technical sales at IBM, advising Fortune 50 financial services firms on process and technology solutions. She also founded and operated a residential real estate development firm.
