The CAIA Association (CAIAA) has taken steps to help reduce the risk of the spread of COVID-19. However, COVID-19 is understood to be contagious and spread mainly by person-to-person contact. Therefore, attending any in-person event with others, including your attendance at this exam site, could increase your risk of getting COVID-19. CAIAA cannot guarantee that you will not contract COVID-19 or any other illness.

The CAIA Association contracts with Prometric for the administration of our exams at testing centers owned and/or operated by Prometric. Prometric will modify our exam day procedures to increase safety measures due to the global COVID-19 pandemic as needed. In addition to any requirements and restrictions imposed by Prometric, CAIA, as a U.S. headquartered company, generally will follow the then-applicable recommendations of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control when it comes to COVID-19 protocols. Learn more here.
Please be aware that the country or local jurisdiction where you are scheduled to take your exam may have different or additional requirements with respect to COVID-19, including requirements regarding quarantine and mask-wearing. In those instances, CAIA will follow the requirements of that jurisdiction. If you have any questions regarding these requirements, please contact Prometric.

The CAIA Association has no control over the administration of our exams or the operation of the testing centers and accepts no liability relating thereto. Any questions or concerns you have regarding the facility at which your test is administered or the health and safety procedures that have been enacted should be directed to Prometric.
In consideration of sitting for an examination at the exam site, you release CAIAA from liability. You agree that you are fully aware of the risks associated with COVID-19 and voluntarily assume any risk of exposure to or infection by COVID-19 or any other communicable illness at the examination site and that such exposure could result in personal injury, illness, hospitalization, or death. You understand that, despite any steps CAIAA may have taken to limit risk, you may be exposed to COVID-19 or other communicable illnesses as a result of the actions, omissions, or negligence of others, including proctors, other Candidates, or examination site employees.
You knowingly and voluntarily assume such risks, known and unknown, relating to attendance at the examination site and hereby forever release, waive, discharge, relinquish, hold harmless, and covenant not to sue CAIAA or its officers, directors, managers, employees, agents, contractors, or other representatives, or their successors or assigns (collectively, “CAIAA”), from any and all claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs and expenses of any kind, whether known or unknown (“Damages”) arising out of or relating to your attendance at the examination site, including, but not limited to those Damages related to the risks listed above of personal injury, illness, hospitalization, or death, or any other loss, and including but not limited to alleged claims of acts, omissions, or negligence of CAIAA.
