Welcome to CAIA Alternative Viewpoints. For those who have been following CAIA Association’s website, or any of our industry commentary on social media, the title “Viewpoints” should look very familiar.
From its inception, Viewpoints have served as a way for investment professionals to quickly digest the primary concept and important information from a long-form publication. Investment professionals are busy, so reading multiple 15-20-page whitepapers or watching an hour-long webcast is not always the most feasible approach to continuous learning. We all have time constraints.
By creating this column on AllAboutAlpha, we have designed a centralized place for contributors at the CAIA Association to provide summaries of and commentary on papers, videos, and webcasts that we believe will be important for you to understand as an investment professional. Of course, each post will have a link to the original piece of content.
This column will serve as a balance of summary and opinion. As investment professionals, we are always asking ourselves “how or why is this relevant to what I do?” By providing commentary alongside the content, we seek to answer that question.
