I would encourage aspiring industry professionals to network and always keep learning. Continuing education is vital as the industry continues to evolve, especially alternative investments as they have become more prevalent in the wealth management industry.
The CAIA curriculum made me more comfortable conducting due diligence on various investment opportunities and providing recommendations with conviction. Our clients invest heavily in alternative and private market investments. Given the uniqueness of these asset classes, the CAIA significantly improved my understanding of how they impact client portfolios across various market cycles. We do not have a one-size-fits-all approach in how we allocate to alternative asset classes, but our clients appreciate that.
As a CAIA member, I have developed an in-depth knowledge and appreciation of how alternative and private market investments impact client portfolios. I love putting together thought capital and market commentary for our clients. The ongoing research published by fellow members in Portfolio for the Future inspires me.
