Advancing AI Education: Expanding CAIA’s Member Base and Expertise in Asia

With Asia ex-Japan creating over US$7 Trillion in new millionaire wealth and rapidly moving up the HNW league table - and with China in particular maintaining a top spot in recent years - it should come as no surprise that investors and portfolio managers are looking for alternative ways to invest their capital.

As this trend continues, CAIA has become increasingly sought after as the ‘must have’ knowledge base to demonstrate understanding in the ever changing alternative investment industry.

On this note, CAIA is proud to share that is it once again an Educational Partner of the upcoming “AsiaHedge 2nd Annual China Forum" to be held in Shanghai on September 10th and the inaugural Educational Partner for AsianInvestor’s “China Investment Forum” being held in Beijing on September 11th, 2014. As the official Educational Partner of the ‘China Investment Forum’, CAIA’s Managing Director for Asia Pacific, Joanne Murphy will be joining a panel of industry leaders to discuss their views on the topic of ‘Global opportunities through alternative investments’.  AsianInvestor is expecting over 200 institutional investors and fund distributors from across China and APAC to come together to learn and deliberate. In addition to this, CAIA Singapore’s Principal, Peter Douglas, and also a veteran CAIA charter holder, will be participating in a panel at the Marcus Evans’ “7th Annual Liquidity, Treasury and FTP Conference” in Singapore, on September 3rd. Here, industry practitioners will be addressing the liquidity needs in changing and competitive markets and enhancing their knowledge on liquidity reporting.  As an endorser of this event we’re pleased to share that discounts for our members are available.

Echoing CAIA CEO Bill Kelly’s sentiment from his Postcard from Asia, we continue to work hard towards building a better brand for our members. To complement this initiative, we work very closely with conference organisers globally in the hope of garnering benefits our members can take advantage of including discounted conference rates through complimentary passes to attend conferences.

To round up an eventful and busy September here in the APAC, we do hope that our members take advantage of the offers we’ve negotiated and that we can all continue to learn and prosper from fellow CAIA members and other industry professionals.
