Hong Kong SAR – December 5, 2025. The Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) Association is pleased to announce two significant additions to its global Academic Partnership Program: Tokyo University of Science (TUS) and Korea University, two prominent universities in East Asia’s academic landscape, have formally joined as Academic Partners.
Welcoming both institutions at this time marks a pivotal moment in CAIA’s mission to shape the next generation of investment professionals through high-impact, real-world education in alternative investments.
Through these partnerships, students and faculty at both universities will gain access to CAIA’s robust suite of educational resources, including industry-leading research, applied learning materials, and thought leadership in alternative investments. These are not ceremonial partnerships; but are built for depth, collaboration, and as a high-impact initiative to integrate real-world investment education into the academic journey.
“Forming academic alliances with Tokyo University of Science and Korea University underscores our shared commitment to advancing investment education in Asia,” said Nick Pollard, Managing Director, APAC, CAIA Association. “These institutions are recognized not only for academic excellence but also for their forward-thinking approach to preparing students for the complex world of global capital markets.”
With these new partnerships, students at TUS and Korea University will have the opportunity to engage with CAIA’s global network, explore scholarship opportunities, and pursue guided pathways to the CAIA Charter, the most recognized credential in alternative investments worldwide. By incorporating alternative investment education into their curricula, Korea University and Tokyo University of Science are not only enriching their academic offerings but also advancing the global career readiness of their students.
“Embedding the CAIA perspective into these leading universities is about more than enhancing curriculum—it’s about broadening access, deepening understanding, and elevating standards,” said Steven Novakovic, CAIA, CFA, Managing Director, Educational Programs, CAIA Association. “We’re proud to partner with Korea University and Tokyo University of Science to help shape a new generation of investment thinkers across Asia.”
With these additions, CAIA’s Academic Partnership Program now includes more than 85 institutions worldwide and continues to grow with intention by prioritizing geographic reach, academic rigor, and the future-forward values that will define the next era of finance.
