Hong Kong SAR – September 15, 2025. The Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) Association is proud to announce a landmark addition to its global Academic Partnership Program: Kathmandu College of Management (KCM), a leading undergraduate business school in Nepal, has joined as CAIA’s first Academic Partner in the country.

This partnership marks a significant step in the continued expansion of CAIA’s academic footprint across South Asia and reflects a shared commitment to preparing the next generation of capital allocators with the tools, insights, and ethical foundation needed to thrive in a rapidly changing investment landscape.

As part of this collaboration, students and faculty at KCM will gain access to CAIA’s robust suite of educational resources, including industry-leading research, applied learning materials, and thought leadership in alternative investments. The partnership is designed not as a symbolic gesture, but as a high-impact initiative to integrate real-world investment education into the academic journey.

“This partnership is a milestone, not only for CAIA, but for the region,” said Nick Pollard, Managing Director, APAC, CAIA Association. “KCM represents the kind of institution we seek to partner with: one that is deeply committed to academic excellence, global perspective, and equipping students to become responsible stewards of capital. This is how we will shape the future of finance—from the classroom up.”

With this new partnership, students at KCM will have the opportunity to engage with CAIA’s global network, explore scholarship opportunities, and pursue guided pathways to the CAIA Charter, the most recognized credential in alternative investments worldwide. By incorporating alternative investment education into its curriculum, KCM is not only enhancing its academic offering but also elevating the career readiness of its students on the global stage.

“Bringing CAIA’s curriculum and values into the classroom is not just about content. It's also about access, ethics, and leadership,” said Steven Novakovic, CAIA, CFA, Managing Director, Educational Programs, CAIA Association. “We’re excited to support KCM in building a new generation of investment professionals in Nepal who understand both the complexity of modern markets and the responsibility that comes with managing capital.”

CAIA’s Academic Partnership Program now includes more than 80 institutions worldwide and continues to expand with purpose. It is aimed at fostering deep, long-term collaborations that benefit students, faculty, and the broader financial ecosystem. The addition of KCM highlights the Program’s commitment to geographic diversity, educational excellence, and shaping the global conversation around the future of investing.
