AMHERST, MASS. (January 10, 2017) – The Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) Association, a global leader in alternative investment education, has announced that it will be hosting an “Alternative Investment Boot Camp” in New York on February 7th. This event, which will take place at the NYSSA Conference Center, will feature CAIA’s Managing Director of Curriculum and Exams Keith Black, CAIA, PhD, CFA. Dr. Black will lead participants through several modules of CAIA’s Fundamentals of Alternative Investments certificate program, which is designed to provide a foundation in the core concepts of alternative investing. Participants will receive access to the full online “Fundamentals” course five business days prior to this live training so they can work towards achieving their own Fundamentals of Alternative Investments certificate. “As alternative investments become more mainstream while at the same time becoming ever more complex, this course provides a means of staying abreast of the latest developments,” said Dr. Black. “More than 2,000 professionals from a number of different disciplines, including financial advisors, wholesalers, accountants and attorneys, have obtained the Fundamentals certificate, and I am very much looking forward to helping our Boot Camp attendees become the newest holders of this certificate.” Individual registration for the Fundamentals program typically costs $895, but this “Boot Camp” and the full access to Fundamentals that it provides, is available for $595.
