CAIA Philadelphia should help foster further innovation and make our area even more competitive on both the national and global levels.

AMHERST, MASS. (October 19, 2016) – The Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) Association, a global leader in alternative investment education, is today launching its newest Chapter in Philadelphia. With this launch, CAIA will have 28 Chapters worldwide, 10 of which are in the U.S. CAIA Philadelphia will bring together CAIA Members, Candidates, educational institutions, and other alternative investment industry participants to provide educational and networking opportunities for Philadelphia’s diverse and fast-growing alternative investment community.

“Philadelphia and its surrounding region are home to some of the finest academic institutions in the world, a diverse array of innovative family offices, institutions and endowments, and a robust community of alternative investment practitioners,” said William J. Kelly, CEO of CAIA. “In launching this Chapter, we envision CAIA Philadelphia as a meeting place for people in a wide variety of alternative investment roles, and we’re excited about seeing this Chapter grow and thrive in the years to come.”

CAIA Philadelphia is led by Chapter Head John Shook, CAIA, consultant/financier, who is joined by Chapter Executives Jayson Bronchetti, CAIA, CFA, President, Lincoln Financial Advisors; Mike Casel, CAIA, CFA, Chief Investment Officer, Haverford College; Bill Hagner, CAIA, CIRA, CMA; and Seth Stroback, CAIA, Investment Associate, Forbes Family Trust & LGL Partners.

The CAIA Association offers the only credential focused on the alternative investment space and has become the global benchmark for alternative investment education. The CAIA Charter, an educational designation uniquely designed for individuals specializing in institutional-quality alternative investments, is granted upon successful completion of two levels of qualifying exams combined with relevant professional experience and joining the Association Membership.

The Association now supports 28 global Chapters in financial centers in Europe, Asia-Pacific and North America, as well as a Virtual Chapter that brings together Members from far-flung locations in more than 60 countries.

CAIA sponsors more than 120 educational and networking events each year and has dozens of academic partnerships with leading universities in the Americas, EMEA, and the Asia Pacific region.
