Craig Lindqvist Joins CAIA Association’s Leadership Team Seasoned Executive to Strengthen CAIA’s Global Operations and Advance Vision 2035

AMHERST, MA (March 16, 2026) – The Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Association (CAIA), announced the appointment of Craig Lindqvist as Chief Operating Officer, effective today, March 16, 2026. Lindqvist will report to CEO John L. Bowman, CFA, and will lead CAIA’s global operations, finance, technology, human resources, and administrative functions.

In this role, Lindqvist will strengthen CAIA’s operational foundation as the organization advances Vision 2035, its strategic framework designed to help shape the future of capital allocation and the evolution of the investment profession. He will focus on scaling systems, analytics, and processes to support CAIA’s expanding global community while fostering a high-performance, mission-driven culture across its international teams.

Craig’s proven track record of strengthening complex global organizations and leading high-performing international teams gives us the operational depth required to deliver on our long-term strategy and serve our Members with greater precision and impact.”

Lindqvist brings more than 20 years of strategic leadership experience across global professional associations and higher education institutions. Most recently, he served as Associate Dean for Administration at the University of Virginia’s Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy, where he oversaw finance, technology, and operations, strengthening infrastructure and enhancing organizational effectiveness. Prior to that, he spent 15 years at CFA Institute, ultimately serving as Head of Global Business Operations. In that role, he led a 35-member international team supporting operations across seven countries and 150 member societies spanning 80 markets.  Earlier in his career, before serving in the US Navy, he worked as an engineer at both Honeywell and Boeing.

Lindqvist holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering and an M.B.A. from the University of Colorado Boulder, and a master’s degree in engineering from the University of Virginia.
