Miami is Now Home to the Newest Chapter of the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) Association

AMHERST, MASS. (May 13, 2016) – The Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) Association, a global leader in alternative investment education, has launched its newest Chapter in Miami, Florida, it was announced today.

Miami becomes CAIA’s 26th Chapter worldwide and their 9th in the U.S., and has been formed to bring together CAIA Members, Candidates, educational institutions, and other alternative investment industry participants to provide learning and networking opportunities for Miami and South Florida’s diverse and fast-growing alternative investment community.

“Miami sits at the intersection of the North American and Latin American alternative investment industries, and is an emerging financial hub in its own right,” said Mr. Johnston. “Through the formation of CAIA Miami, we will look to grow, strengthen and promote alternative investment industry education and networking among all of the practitioners in the region, and to become a strong voice for the long-term growth of the local alternative investment community.”

The CAIA Association offers the only credential focused on the alternative investment space and has become the global benchmark for alternative investment education. The CAIA Charter, an educational designation uniquely designed for individuals specializing in institutional-quality alternative investments, is granted upon successful completion of two levels of qualifying exams combined with relevant professional experience and joining the Association membership.

The Association now supports 26 global Chapters in financial centers in Europe, Asia-Pacific, and in North America, including the recent launches of Chapters in Ireland, Atlanta, and India, as well as in the form of a Virtual Chapter that brings together members from far-flung locations in more than 60 countries.

CAIA has sponsored more than 2,000 educational and networking events since its inception in 2003 and has 37 academic partnerships with leading universities, including 16 in the Americas, 11 in EMEA, and 10 in Asia Pacific.
