CAIA Exams Now Eligible for Funding, Supporting Career Growth in Alternative Investments
Hong Kong, (January 10, 2025) The Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) Association, the global professional body for the alternatives investment industry is pleased to announce that both levels of the CAIA exam are now accredited under the Institute of Banking and Finance Singapore's Standards Training Scheme (IBF-STS) in Singapore. This accreditation underscores our commitment to advancing professional education in Singapore's dynamic alternative investments industry, where private equity and venture capital assets under management (AUM) have grown at a 24.6% compound annual growth rate (CAGR) over the past five years.
The Institute of Banking and Finance (IBF) serves as Singapore's national accreditation and certification agency for financial industry competency and plays a pivotal role in maintaining the high standards and integrity of the financial sector. The inclusion of the CAIA exams in the IBF-STS highlights the CAIA Charter Program’s alignment with industry standards and its relevance to professionals seeking expertise in alternative investments.
Singapore's rapid ascent as a leading global financial center has been fueled by its ability to attract top talent and investment from around the world, solidifying its position as a hub for innovation and excellence in the financial industry. The CAIA Association, in collaboration with the prominent CAIA Singapore Chapter, is dedicated to supporting this growth by providing rigorous educational resources tailored to the needs of finance professionals in the Asia-Pacific region.
Eligible candidates who pass either the Level I or Level II CAIA exam may apply for reimbursement, subject to meeting the funding criteria, of their exam registration fees under the IBF-STS funding scheme. Specifically, Singapore citizens may be eligible for funding of up to 70%, while permanent residents may qualify for 50%. This financial support serves as a significant incentive for professionals aiming to deepen their expertise in alternative investments.
"We are delighted to have the CAIA exam accredited under the IBF-STS in Singapore," said Nick Pollard, Managing Director, APAC Region of the CAIA Association. "This accreditation reinforces our commitment to delivering high-quality education and certification programs to finance professionals in Singapore and beyond. We look forward to empowering individuals to excel in the dynamic landscape of alternative investments."
