Leading Private Equity and Alternative Investment Organizations Combine Expertise to Support Member Experience and Drive Public Awareness of Benefits of Private Capital Investment

The Small Business Investor Alliance (SBIA), the leading association for lower middle market private equity funds and investors, and the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) Association, the global authority in alternative investment education, today announced a partnership to further thought leadership and analysis within the private capital investment industry.

The partnership will benefit members of both SBIA and the CAIA Association, combining the SBIA’s comprehensive understanding of private equity in the lower middle market with the CAIA Association’s broad industry expertise in the alternative investment sphere. Opportunities created by the partnership include educational content for members, joint public awareness initiatives, conferences, data sharing, thought leadership collaborations, and discounts for SBIA members that take the CAIA Charter Level 1 & 2 exams. Candidates that pass the exams will be eligible to receive the internationally-recognized Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designation.
“Our partnership with the CAIA Association is unique for us in terms of the broad scope of content our members will be able to access through the cross-pollination of content and data that this collaboration brings,” said Brett Palmer, President of SBIA. “We are excited to be partnering with one of the leading alternative investment organizations and together sharing best practices and thought leadership that will benefit the members of both of our organizations and further knowledge within the private capital investment industry.”

“With increasing interest from our membership in lower middle market private equity investments, this partnership with the SBIA represents a natural fit for each association. Together, the SBIA and CAIA Association will increase industry awareness and further educate the public on the important contribution alternative investments provide in business growth both domestically and globally,” said William (Bill) Kelly, CEO of CAIA.

Members of both organizations benefit from collaborative thought leadership projects, including email newsletters, shared speaking opportunities at SBIA and CAIA conferences, special events and in-depth reports on the critical issues impacting today’s alternative investment industry.
