"Going through the CAIA Program gave me the framework necessary to better understand eclectic asset classes and alternative investment strategies. I started pursuing both the CFA and CAIA Programs while I was still finishing my undergraduate degree, knowing I would be entering the investment profession during a time where alternative investments were becoming a more conventional piece of a client’s portfolio.

Aaron Filbeck, CAIA is an Investment Analyst for The Joseph Group Capital Management, a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) in Columbus, Ohio. As a voting member of the firm’s Investment Committee, he is tasked with leading investment research and portfolio construction efforts for the firm’s objective-based asset allocation strategies, with a focus on conducting manager due diligence and selection, tactical asset allocation decisions, and individual security analysis.
Aaron graduated with distinction from Penn State University with a B.S. in Finance, and is both a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) Charterholder and a Level III Candidate in the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Program. He is a member of the CAIA Association of Chicago and the CFA Society of Columbus.
