Amherst, MA—The Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Association (CAIA) is pleased to announce that Millissa Allen, CAIA, has joined the organization as Director of Business Development, Americas. Ms. Allen, who earned her CAIA Charter in 2012, will oversee strategic initiatives to promote the CAIA program and deepen industry relationships throughout the USA and Canada.
As investors continue to increase asset allocation to alternatives, Ms. Allen will drive CAIA’s business development efforts in the Americas to meet the growing demand for alternative investment education. By 2015, it is predicted that US investors will allocate nearly 25% of assets to alternative investments. Additionally, retail investors are expected to increase allocations in their portfolios from 6% to 20% over the next two years.
“There is no equivalent educational program in the world today focused exclusively on alternative investments,” said Allen. “The CAIA Charter communicates to employers and clients that you have demonstrated a high-level of expertise in alternative investing. I am delighted and honored to join the CAIA team in meeting our objective and providing the best of alternative investment training and world class service to our members.”
Ms. Allen’s business development experience, industry expertise, and dedication to the CAIA program as a CAIA member makes her an ideal fit for her new role. Prior to joining CAIA, Ms. Allen served as Director of Sales and Operations Hatteras Funds for eight years, where she managed client relationships, orchestrated multi-level marketing campaigns, led sales and marketing training, and managed more than 100 sales-related events per year. Ms. Allen brings tremendous energy, expertise, and innovation to CAIA’s efforts to introduce the CAIA Charter to new audiences and to expand CAIA’s visibility within companies already dedicated to promoting the CAIA Charter internally.
