Institutional Investor Journals presents featured interviews from CAIA Program Director, Hossein Kazemi and CAIA CEO, Florence Lombard:

“Hossein talks about the internationalization of CAIA and explains how the curriculum is continually updating, having recently expanded in the areas of commodities and infrastructure investments. CAIA certification is a seal of approval that indicates someone has passed a regular set of exams on curriculum that is updated every year. It introduces them to topics not typically covered in business school, such as investments in infrastructure, commodities and private equity. In this video, Hossein walks us through the certification process.”  Watch the video here.

“The association’s charter certification demonstrates expertise in all areas of alternative investments and is relevant for portfolio and risk managers, analysts and institutional investors, Florence tells us. The increasing number of retail vehicles investing in alternative assets has broadened CAIA’s base to include fund distributors and registered investment advisors, she notes. Florence urges institutions to demand that these professionals demonstrate expertise in alternatives via CAIA certification. The relaxation of regulations restricting advertising for hedge funds and private equity funds makes this vigilance even more important, she notes.”  Watch the video here.
