St. Gallen, Switzerland, 1 March 2013 — The Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) Association®, the global leader in alternative investment education, and the University of St. Gallen, one of Europe's leading business schools, today announced a strategic partnership between the CAIA Association and the University’s Master's in Banking & Finance program.

Under the partnership, the university’s students will have access to the CAIA Association's curriculum and events and be eligible to apply for scholarships to earn the CAIA Charter which requires passing rigorous Level I and Level II examinations.

The agreement was signed by Manuel Ammann, Professor of Finance at University of St. Gallen, and Florence Lombard, CEO, CAIA Association.

"The CAIA Association shares the University of St. Gallen’s commitment to the highest standards in education. Through this partnership, St. Gallen students will be able to gain in-depth knowledge of asset classes such as commodities, hedge funds, and private equity, giving them a competitive advantage in the growing field of alternative investing," said Lombard.

"We are excited about the opportunity to expose our students to all of the benefits of the CAIA Association including its core curricula which is consistent with St. Gallen’s reputation for education excellence at the highest international level. We believe this will give them a distinct edge when they graduate and enter the very competitive world of finance," said Ammann.
