Shane O'Brien, CAIA, Advisory Committee

Shane has been active in the financial services industry since 2008. He has expertise in the areas of alternative investments, fund accounting, operations and auditing. He is responsible for advising asset managers on the establishment of both UCITS and non-UCITS funds and has experience in the preparation of Business Plans and Risk Management Process documents for UCITS funds. Prior to joining KB Associates, Shane worked for Citibank Europe where he held senior positions in its Global Fund Services and Alternative Investment departments.

Paul Wade, CAIA, Advisory Committee

Paul Started his career as a pricing analyst for OTC derivatives in the fund administration industry. This goal of the team was to aid the transparency of NAV generation by independently modelling derivative valuations. He then went on to work in investment banking as part of the Market Risk department, focusing on hedging structured interest rate and credit products. In mid 2008, just before the financial crisis, Paul moved to London to take up a role as a CDS & credit trader, focusing on emerging market and investment grade products.

Shane is a fellow of ACCA and is also a CAIA Charterholder. Shane has extensive industry experience, designing and delivering solutions while specialising in the Private Equity sphere. As Head of Accounting & Valuations for Harmonic Fund Services Ireland, Shane has established & managed large Irish regulated structures, while also coordinating global reporting structures for large investment banks, via oversight of a multi-jurisdictional team
