Academic Scholarships

In support of our mission, to provide access to the most relevant, comprehensive alternative investments education, we offer CAIA exam scholarships to eligible individuals at our Academic Partner institutions.

As part of our ongoing effort to professionalize the global alternative investment space in collaboration with higher education institutions, we are pleased to share an exciting enhancement to our program registration — bundled access to the CAIA curriculum! 

Faculty Scholarship Guidelines

  • Exam registration fee of US $250 – now INCLUDES free access to the official CAIA Core Curriculum – a $125 value. This newly streamlined curriculum access offers more convenience and ensures that Candidates have the most recently updated, CAIA-developed curriculum. 

  • The standard enrollment fee of $400 will be waived for all scholarship recipients. 

  • When registering for the exam, the faculty member must be employed with an approved partnering institution and teaching a minimum of six credit hours per year. 

  • Maximum of 3 faculty scholarships per exam cycle per institution. 

  • The CAIA Association shall award scholarships in its sole discretion. All decisions are final. 

  • Scholarships are awarded for first-time exam fees only. They are not available for retake Candidates. 

To apply, please contact academic@caia.org to request a link for completing the online application before the deadline. Once the application is reviewed, a representative of the CAIA Association will contact the individual with instructions on how to complete registration at the discounted rate.

  • Students must be nominated by a designated representative for the Academic Partner institution.  

  • To be considered eligible, each student must be enrolled at a partnering institution when nominated for the scholarship. 

  • The CAIA Association shall award scholarships in its sole discretion. All decisions are final. 

  • Scholarships are awarded for first-time exam fees only. They are not available for retake Candidates.  

The Academic Partners designated representative will forward a link to the online application with instructions for the nominated student to complete. Once the student’s application is reviewed for approval by the Academic Partners Scholarship Team, a representative of the CAIA Association will contact the student with instructions on how to complete registration at the discounted rate.
