CAIA exams are administered twice a year at test centers around the world.

Online Proctored Exams by Exception Only

Effective April 15, 2024, Online Proctored Exams are available by exception only. Candidates need an approved accommodation to schedule an online proctored CAIA exam.

  • Online Proctored exams are only available on the following days:
    • Level I – March 10 - 12, 2025
    • Level II – March 24 - 26, 2025

Canadian taxes apply to all fees.

Effective October 1, 2023, Indian GST taxes apply to all fees. 

The Enrollment Fee is non-refundable and applies only to first-time Level I registrations and Level II registrations for Candidates participating in the Stackable Credential Program. 

Registration Policies

  • Exam registration is not open-ended. By registering for an exam, you are committing to a specific exam session, and you may not postpone from one testing period to another, i.e. you cannot change your March exam registration to September. If you are unable to sit for the exam for which you are registered, or if you do not pass, you automatically become eligible to retake the same level exam during any future exam session for a flat retake fee.

  • Exam registrations cannot be transferred to other individuals.

  • Deferments are not allowed and will not be granted to candidates who are unable to sit for the exam due to failure to schedule an appointment.

  • Refunds - The CAIA Association will grant refunds of exam registration fees only, net of any applicable fees if refunded via bank wire, if the individual cancels the registration within 14 days of the date of purchase. To cancel a registration and apply for a refund of the exam registration fee, the Individual must email CAIA at candidate@caia.org.
