Brian Heimowitz is the Founder and Portfolio Manager of Birchwood Capital Management LLC, an investment management and consulting firm focused on alternative investments. The firm is focused on bringing alternative investment solutions to a handful of Registered Investment Advisors, Family Offices & Asset Management firms. Birchwood offers Outsourced-CIO services in the alternative investment space and works with asset managers to source, underwrite and raise capital for investment opportunities.
Prior to founding Birchwood Brian was with Crystal Capital Partners, an alternative investments platform for 7 years, most recently as it's Chief Investment Officer. In his role as Chief Investment Officer, Brian oversaw the firm's due diligence program for all new and existing investments. This included sourcing and qualifying new opportunities across the alternative investment universe as well as leading the firm's quarterly investment committee. On the portfolio management side, Brian helped the firm's clients construct and rebalance portfolios based upon their objectives and risk tolerances.
Brian graduated from the University of Miami with a Bachelor of Business Administration, majoring in Finance. He is a holder of the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst and the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designations. Brian serves as a Chapter Executive for the CAIA Miami Chapter.
