Brian joined Verus in 2013 and advises a broad range of institutional clients on a variety of issues around asset allocation, investment strategies, capital markets, macroeconomics, risk management, and governance. Clients include multi-employer trust funds, corporate sponsored defined benefit and defined contribution plans, endowments, and public pensions. He also provides research coverage on various investment strategies, sits on both the 401(k) and GIPS committees, and is a shareholder of the firm.
Previously, Brian spent a number of years in various capacities in equity research with William O’Neil & Company in Los Angeles. Focuses included security selection, portfolio construction, and client relationship management.
Brian holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Southern California - Marshall School of Business and a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in finance from California State University, Long Beach. He is both a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder and a Chartered Alternative Investments Analyst (CAIA) Charterholder.
