Recently, Daniel joined Credicorp Asset Management, where he serves in the Buyside Research team covering the infrastructure, industrial and logistics sectors in the Latinoamerican region. Daniel has experience from the institutional investor standpoint, as previously, he worked at Seguros Alfa, the largest insurance company in Colombia with a portfolio of more than USD $4.2 Bn in AUM. There, as Head of the portfolio of Alternative Investments, he was in charge of developing the Strategic Asset Allocation by making use of the qualities of non-traditional investment vehicles to best comply with requirements on the insurance reserves. In addition, Daniel, in a joint effort with the investment team, supervised and performed the due diligence process for several alternative investment vehicles in strategies such as private equity, private debt, real estate, among others.
Daniel holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and International Relations from the Externado University of Colombia with particular emphasis on the Capital Markets. He is a CFA Charterholder and a member of the CFA Society of Colombia, as well as CAIA Charterholder and a CAIA LatAm Chapter Executive.
